Well now that works. Blizzard is the editor of Diablo II I've edited my message I've changed the script, can you retry? None of the other fixes offered by Blizzard solved my problem but the burn seemed to work better than the actual disk.
What I ended up having to do is make a burn copy of the install disk to get by that particular issue with d2data.
